i threw several parties for my Mother over the years, the one when she turned 50 was a classy martini theme with oversized 10" tall martini glasses arranged with flowers as centerpieces and martini glass favors filled with York peppermint patties and a mini bottle of Sky Vodka. She is now a beautiful 72 years of age. Unfortunately, 30 years ago I was just realizing my decorating talents and didn't think about taking pictures. However, at 60 i didn't make the same mistake! I themed her party around a Teal Burlesque type with feathers and black and teal colors. Favors were lottery tickets wrapped in custom made envelopes. Teal icing cupcakes were placed on a cake tower over seeing a whole dessert table.
